I'll take a survey closer to our date to see how many types of cake I can try out on you all right after the holidays.....Food and wine as always.

Directions: Brown Line to Diversey. Walk East to Clark/Broadway/Diversey and turn up Broadway. Turn right on Surf and walk just past the T-intersection at Cambridge. If you're driving, take Lake Shore to Fullerton, turn right on Cannon Drive, left on Diversey, and right onto Cambridge. Remember that parking is a challenge, but there are often metered spots on Broadway.

Book: Loving Frank, by Nancy Horan. This book is historical fiction about Frank LLoyd Wright's affair with Mamah Borthwick Cheney.

Directions: If you'd like to take the train, use the green line and get off at Ridgeland. The house is .8 mile from the stop, so call and I'll come get you. If driving, our house is 2 blocks north of Chicago on the southwest corner of Ridgeland and Thomas.
